This order, which comes into force on 8 May 2026, updates the list of free kindergarten associations in Schedule 2A of the Education and Training Act 2020. This order—

• adds Canterbury Westland Kindergartens Charitable Trust, being an organisation formed from the restructuring of Canterbury Westland Kindergarten Association Incorporated, to the list of free kindergarten associations; and

• replaces the item in the list relating to Central North Island Kindergarten Trust with Central Kids Trust, to reflect its name change.
