This order is made under section 370 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act (Repeal of Provisions Relating to Solicitors’ Fidelity Guarantee Fund) Commencement Order 2025.
2 Commencement of section 370 of Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006
Section 370 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 comes into force on 12 February 2026.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings section 370 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (the Act) into force on 12 February 2026.
Section 370 of the Act repeals sections 363 to 369 of the Act, which are transitional provisions relating to the Solicitors’ Fidelity Guarantee Fund.
Date of notification in Gazette: 18 December 2025.
