Pursuant to section 3A of the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 (as continued in force by section 74 of the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989), Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
Order
1 Title and commencement
(1)
This order may be cited as the Companies Special Investigations Order 1995.
(2)
This order shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2 Act to cease to apply to certain companies
It is hereby declared that the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 shall cease to apply to the companies specified in the Schedule to this order.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, declares that the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 ceases to apply to all the companies, except J.B.L. Consolidated Limited, specified in the Schedule of the Companies Special Investigations Order 1972. The Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 has, despite its repeal by the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989, continued to apply to the companies specified in that order by virtue of section 74 of that Act.

Notes
1 General
This is a consolidation of the Companies Special Investigations Order 1995 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
Section 78 of the Legislation Act 2019 provides that this consolidation, published as an electronic version, is an official version. A printed version of legislation that is produced directly from this official electronic version is also an official version.
