Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Health Entitlement Cards Amendment Regulations 2016.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 1 April 2016.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Health Entitlement Cards Regulations 1993 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 8 amended (Eligibility for community services cards)

In regulation 8(1)(e), replace “subclause (5)” with “subclause (5A)”.

After regulation 8(5), insert:

(5A)

For the purposes of subclause (1)(e), the appropriate amount of superannuation income is,—

(a)

for a single person living in shared accommodation, $26,633 per annum:

(b)

for a single person living alone, $28,279 per annum:

(c)

for a married or partnered person, $42,309 per annum.
