Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 21 February 2014, amend the Fisheries (Commercial Fishing) Regulations 2001 by inserting a definition of automatic location communicator. That phrase is defined in the Fisheries (Satellite Vessel Monitoring) Regulations 1993. Consequentially, the definition inserted in the Fisheries (Commercial Fishing) Regulations 2001 cross-references the definition in the 1993 regulations.
These regulations also correct the species description for pilchard.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
Date of notification in Gazette: 20 February 2014.
These regulations are administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
