Pursuant to section 2 of the New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Amendment Act 2009, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

This order is the New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Amendment Act 2009 Commencement Order 2009.
2 Commencement of New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Amendment Act 2009
The New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Amendment Act 2009 comes into force on 5 January 2010.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force on 5 January 2010 the New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Amendment Act 2009, which amends the New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Act 2001 so as to enable in some circumstances the payment of New Zealand superannuation to people who are overseas.
