  • Preamble

    At Wellington this 29th day of October 2007

Pursuant to section 30A of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises, makes the following order.

1 Title

  • This order is the State-Owned Enterprises (AsureQuality Limited) Order 2007.

2 Commencement

  • This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

3 Schedules 1 and 2 of State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 amended

  • (1) The item relating to AgriQuality Limited in Schedules 1 and 2 of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 is omitted.

    (2) Schedules 1 and 2 of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 are amended by inserting the following item in its appropriate alphabetical order: “AsureQuality Limited”.

4 Amendments to other enactments

  • The enactments specified in the Schedule are amended in the manner indicated in that schedule.

Schedule 18: omit “Agriquality New Zealand Limited”.

Schedule 18: insert in its appropriate alphabetical order “AsureQuality Limited”.

Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (Restructuring) Act 1998 (1998 No 106)

Paragraph (a) of the definition of new company, or company, in section 2: omit “AgriQuality Limited” and substitute “AsureQuality Limited”.

Ombudsmen Act 1975 (1975 No 9)

Part 2 of Schedule 1: omit “AgriQuality Limited”.

Part 2 of Schedule 1: insert in its appropriate alphabetical order “AsureQuality Limited”.

Dairy Industry Restructuring (Raw Milk) Regulations 2001 (SR 2001/326)

Paragraph (c) of the definition of organic milk in regulation 3(1): omit “AgriQuality Limited” and substitute “AsureQuality Limited”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, amends a number of enactments by changing references to the name of a State enterprise to reflect the change in its name from AgriQuality Limited to AsureQuality Limited.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
