This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, amends Schedule 1 of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 (the Act). Schedule 1 of the Act lists the DHBs established by the Act and their respective geographical areas. The schedule may be amended by Order in Council. This order amends the schedule to clarify that the territorial authority and ward boundaries, which are used in the schedule to describe the geographical areas of DHBs, are those constituted as at 1 January 2001, the date on which the DHBs were established.
