1 Short Title and commencement

• (1) This Act may be cited as the Criminal Justice Amendment Act 1995, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Criminal Justice Act 1985 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

  (2) This Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council.

• 2 [Repealed]

  Sections 2 to 9 were repealed, as from 30 June 2002, by section 187 Sentencing Act 2002 (2002 No 9). See sections 148 to 160 of that Act for the transitional and savings provisions. See clause 2 Sentencing Act Commencement Order 2002 (SR 2002/176).

3 Period on remand to be taken as time served
