Pursuant to section 32(2) of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order
1 Title and commencement
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Ombudsmen Act First Schedule Order 1993.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2 Organisations other than local organisations
Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is hereby amended by inserting, after the item relating to the Animal Remedies Board, the following item:
“Boards of Trustees constituted under Part 9 of the Education Act 1989”
3 Local organisations
Part 3 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is hereby amended by omitting the item relating to Boards of Trustees constituted under Part 9 of the Education Act 1989 (as substituted by section 142(2) of the Education Act 1989).

This note is not Part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order extends the jurisdiction that Ombudsmen have over Boards of Trustees constituted under Part 9 of the Education Act 1989.
