Order

1 Title and commencement

(1)

This order may be cited as the State Sector (Incorporated Societies) Order 1990.

(2)

This order shall come into force on 1 November 1990.

2 Section 26 of State Sector Amendment Act (No 2) 1989 to apply to certain incorporated societies

It is hereby directed that section 26 of the State Sector Amendment Act (No 2) 1989 shall apply to the bodies specified in subclause (2) as from the commencement of 1 November 1990.

Subclause (1) applies to the following bodies:

(a)

New Zealand Nurses’ Association Incorporated:

(b)

the New Zealand Railway Officers’ Institute Incorporated:

(c)

the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Teachers Association Incorporated:

(d)

the Education Service Paraprofessional Association Incorporated.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 November 1990, cancels the incorporation under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 of New Zealand Nurses’ Association Incorporated, the New Zealand Railway Officers’ Institute Incorporated, the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Teachers Association Incorporated, and the Education Service Paraprofessional Association Incorporated. Their continued existence as unions recognised under the Labour Relations Act 1987 is not affected.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the State Sector (Incorporated Societies) Order 1990 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status
