Pursuant to the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 (as applied by section 74 of the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
Order
1 Title and commencement

This order may be cited as the Companies Special Investigations Order (No 6) 1989.
(2)
This order shall come into force at 6 pm on 3 April 1989.
2 Release of certain companies from application of Companies Special Investigations Act 1958
It is hereby declared that the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 shall cease to apply to the companies named in the Schedule.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force at 6 pm on 3 April 1989, relates to the Equiticorp group of companies. The order declares that the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 shall cease to apply to 2 of those companies. The companies concerned are Allied Farmers Nominees Limited and Yates Nominees Limited.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Companies Special Investigations Order (No 6) 1989 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
