Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations (No 3) 2003: revoked, on 1 February 2014, pursuant to regulation 161(1)(a) of the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 2013 (SR 2013/482).

These regulations are administered in the Ministry for Primary Industries.
Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title
-
(1) These regulations are the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations (No 3) 2003.
(2) In these regulations, the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 19861 are called
“the principal regulations”
.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.
3 Minimum net mesh size and species length
Regulation 6(2) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting from the second column of the table in relation to kingfish the expression
“65”
, and substituting the expression“75”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, amend the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986. The amendment increases from 65 cm to 75 cm the minimum length for kingfish that can be taken.
