Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2002

  • Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2002: revoked, on 1 February 2014, pursuant to regulation 161(1)(a) of the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 2013 (SR 2013/482).

These regulations are administered in the Ministry for Primary Industries.

Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

  • These regulations come into force on 11 July 2002.

3 Offences and penalties

  • Regulation 29(1) of the principal regulations is amended—

    • (a) by omitting the expression “(5), or (5A)”, and substituting the expression “or (5A)”:

    • (b) by omitting the expression “25(1) or (1B)”, and substituting the expression “25(1), (1B), (2), (3), or (4)”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 11 July 2002, amend the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 to insert into the offence provision in regulation 29 references to certain provisions relating to rock lobster, and to remove a reference to a provision that does not set up an offence.
