Criminal Proceedings (Search of Court Records) Amendment Rules 2004: revoked, on 12 June 2009, pursuant to rule 17(1) of the Criminal Proceedings (Access to Court Documents) Rules 2009 (SR 2009/134).

These rules are administered in the Ministry of Justice.
Pursuant to section 409(1) of the Crimes Act 1961 and section 51C of the Judicature Act 1908, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, and with the concurrence of the Right Honourable the Chief Justice and at least 2 other members of the Rules Committee (of whom at least 1 was a Judge of the High Court), makes the following rules.
Rules
1 Title
-
(1) These rules are the Criminal Proceedings (Search of Court Records) Amendment Rules 2004.
(2) In these rules, the Criminal Proceedings (Search of Court Records) Rules 19741 are called
“the principal rules”
.
2 Commencement
These rules come into force on 1 April 2004.
3 Search of Court records
Rule 2(10) of the principal rules is amended by adding the words
“and to proceedings in the Supreme Court”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These rules, which come into force on 1 April 2004, amend the Criminal Proceedings (Search of Court Records) Rules 1974 by inserting into those rules a reference to the Supreme Court established by the Supreme Court Act 2003.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.

1 General
This is an eprint of the Criminal Proceedings (Search of Court Records) Amendment Rules 2004. It incorporates all the amendments to the rules as at 12 June 2009.
