Pursuant to the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and, in relation to clause 2, on the advice of the Minister of Justice given on the recommendation of a committee appointed under section 472 of the Companies Act 1955, hereby makes the following order.

Order

1 Title

This order may be cited as the Companies Special Investigations Order 1972.

2 Act to apply to certain companies

It is hereby declared that the Companies Special Investigations Act 1958 shall apply to the companies specified in the Schedule.

3 Receiver and manager

The first receiver and manager in respect of each company to which this order applies shall be Douglas Leonard Hazard of Auckland, Chartered Accountant.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Companies Special Investigations Order 1972 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
