New section view and section PDF downloads
Many people asked us for the ability to view legislation by section and download individual sections. We’re pleased to announce that both these features are now available.
You can switch to section view using the toggle in the legislation header:
Section view works seamlessly with existing document features, including:
search within
hide/show repealed provisions and notes toggle
versions toggle
secondary legislation navigation.
When you navigate to an empowering provision through the secondary legislation tab, the site keeps your selected view active.
We have also added a dedicated toolbar in section view. You can:
copy a direct link to a section
download a PDF of a section
move between sections
Downloaded section PDFs include the full text of the selected section, along with any history notes. Each PDF also displays the legislation title, reference, and "as at" date, so users have clear context at a glance.
Note that copying and pasting text from section view or downloaded PDFs does not preserve formatting.
Versions tab enhancement
We have made a small but valuable improvement to the Versions tab.
A version date range now appears beneath the pagination controls. This helps users quickly identify whether the version they're looking for is available on the current page, without scrolling through the results.
Performance improvements
We continue to focus on site performance and responsiveness.
Recent updates have improved server response times and reduced browser-side loading delays. As a result, document load times are several seconds quicker. If you find you experience issues with speed after this update, please let us know: Feedback
