Save and print legislation

You can save and print New Zealand legislation by downloading its PDF version or using web browser functions.

How to save and print legislation

From this website, you can download a legislation PDF to save or print.

You can also print legislation from its webpage using your browser's Print function. You can print legislation onto paper, or to a PDF file, using the procedures for your device and printers.

Printing legislation from the webpage automatically applies a printer-friendly format to the legislation. However, the legislation will have a more readable layout if you print the legislation PDF.

If you want to share legislation, we recommend that you do so by sharing the link rather than saving and circulating a PDF. The link will remain current while the PDF will become out of date if the legislation is updated. For more about sharing links to New Zealand legislation, see Linking to this website.

Some agency-published legislation may only be available as a webpage, especially Gazette items. If you need a PDF or a printout of agency-published legislation that is not provided on this website or the agency’s website, contact that agency directly.
