This order is administered by the Ministry of Education.
Pursuant to subsections (1) and (4) of section 164 of the Education Act 1989, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for the time being responsible for the administration of Part 13 of the Education Act 1989, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Wanganui Regional Community Polytechnic Disestablishment and Incorporation into Universal College of Learning Order 2001.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 April 2002.
3 Wanganui Regional Community Polytechnic disestablished and incorporated into Universal College of Learning
The polytechnic that, at the date of the making of this order, was named Wanganui Regional Community Polytechnic is—
(a)
disestablished; and
(b)
incorporated into the polytechnic that, at that date, was named Universal College of Learning.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 April 2002, disestablishes the Wanganui Regional Community Polytechnic and incorporates it into Universal College of Learning (or UCOL – the Manawatu Polytechnic as renamed, under section 162(5) of the Education Act 1989, by a notice published in the Gazette on 21 September 2000). (For provisions on the effect of the disestablishment and incorporation into the other institution, see sections 217 and 218 of the Act.)
