The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Trade in Endangered Species Amendment Act 2015.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act
This Act amends the Trade in Endangered Species Act 1989 (the principal Act).
4 Section 38 amended (Powers of search)

(1) In section 38(2), replace
“on application made in the manner provided in subpart 3 of Part 4 of that Act”
with“on application made by an officer in the manner provided in subpart 3 of Part 4 of that Act”
.(2) In section 38(2), replace
“may issue a search warrant to that officer”
with“may issue a search warrant to every officer named in the warrant”
.
