Mental Health Commission Act (Postponement of Expiry) Order 2004: revoked, on 1 July 2012, by section 6 of the Mental Health Commission Amendment Act 2012 (2012 No 42).

Pursuant to section 13(2) of the Mental Health Commission Act 1998, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, given on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Mental Health Commission Act (Postponement of Expiry) Order 2004.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 New expiry date for Mental Health Commission Act 1998
The date of 31 August 2007 is substituted for the date specified in section 13(1) of the Mental Health Commission Act 1998.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force 28 days after notification in the Gazette, postpones until 31 August 2007 the expiry of the Mental Health Commission Act 1998.
That Act at present provides that it is to expire on 31 August 2004; and the effect of its expiry would be to abolish the Mental Health Commission.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
