This order is the Road User Charges Act Commencement Order 2012.

(1) Section 87 of the Road User Charges Act 2012 (the Act) comes into force on 15 June 2012.

(2) The rest of the Act comes into force on 1 August 2012.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force provisions of the Road User Charges Act 2012 (the Act) on the following dates:

section 87 of the Act, which relates to the appointment of the New Zealand Transport Agency as the RUC collector, comes into force on 15 June 2012:
the rest of the Act comes into force on 1 August 2012.
