1 Title

This order is the Income Tax (New Zealand Green Investment Finance Limited) Order 2019.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

3 Schedule 35 of Income Tax Act 2007 amended

In the Income Tax Act 2007, Schedule 35, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, inserts the name New Zealand Green Investment Finance Limited into Schedule 35 of the Income Tax Act 2007. Adding New Zealand Green Investment Finance Limited to Schedule 35 makes it a public purpose Crown-controlled company under the Income Tax Act 2007.

Public purpose Crown-controlled companies have their own income tax exemption. They are also public authorities under the Goods and Services Tax Act 1985, which helps ensure that they can claim goods and services tax input credits.
