(1)
The Minister may appoint a committee established under section 11, to be known as the national advisory committee on health and disability, to advise the Minister on—
the kinds, and relative priorities, of public health services, personal health services, and disability support services that should, in the committee’s opinion, be publicly funded; and
other matters relating to public health, including—
personal health matters relating to public health; and
regulatory matters relating to public health; and
any other matters that the Minister specifies by notice to the committee.

The advice given by the committee to the Minister under subsection (1) is to be formulated after consultation by the committee with any members of the public, persons involved in the provision of services, and other persons that the committee considers appropriate.
(3)
The committee must, at least once each year, deliver to the Minister a report setting out its advice on the matters referred to in subsection (1)(a) and (b).
(4)
As soon as practicable after giving a notice under subsection (1)(c) or receiving a report under subsection (3), the Minister must present a copy of the notice or report to the House of Representatives.
