  • Police Amendment Act 1994: repealed, on 1 October 2008, pursuant to section 130(4) of the Policing Act 2008 (2008 No 72).

An Act to amend the Police Act 1958

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title

  • This Act may be cited as the Police Amendment Act 1994, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Police Act 1958 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Non-sworn members of the Police

  • (1) 

    (2) Section 24 of the Summary Offences Act 1981 shall have effect in respect of statements made to the Police before the commencement of this Act as if subsection (1) of this section had not been passed.
