This order is administered in the Ministry of Economic Development.
Pursuant to section 27(2) of the Copyright Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
1 Title
This order is the Copyright Act Commencement Order 2000.
2 Commencement of section 27(1) of Copyright Act 1994
Section 27(1) of the Copyright Act 1994 comes into force on 1 April 2001.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force section 27(1) of the Copyright Act 1994 on 1 April 2001.
Section 27(1) of the Act abolishes Crown copyright in the following:
•Bills:
•Acts:
•regulations:
•bylaws:
•the New Zealand Parliamentary Debates:
•reports of select committees laid before the House of Representatives:
•judgments of courts and tribunals:
•reports of Royal commissions, commissions of inquiry, ministerial inquiries, and statutory inquiries.
