Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Amendment Act 2008: repealed, on 28 September 2022, pursuant to section 232 of the Maniapoto Claims Settlement Act 2022 (2022 No 50).

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Amendment Act 2008.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Act 1988.
4 Interpretation
The definition of Te Mauri o Maniapoto in section 2 is amended by omitting “Mauri”
and substituting “Kaumātua Kaunihera”
.
5 Section 5 repealed
Section 5 is repealed.
6 New section 6 substituted
Section 6 is repealed and the following section substituted:
6 Membership of Board
The Board consists of 15 persons, appointed or elected as follows:
(a)
6 members elected by the beneficiaries of the Board in accordance with the Maori Trust Boards Regulations 1985; and
(b)
7 members elected by the Regional Management Committees in accordance with the Maori Trust Boards Regulations 1985; and
(c)
1 member appointed by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister of Māori Affairs, nominated by, and representing, Te Arikinui; and
(d)
1 member appointed by the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Minister of Māori Affairs, nominated by, and representing, Te Kaumātua Kaunihera o Maniapoto.
7 Te Mauri o Maniapoto
8 Orders revoked
The following orders are revoked:
(a)
Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Order 1999 (SR 1999/26); and
(b)
Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Order 2002 (SR 2002/354).

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Amendment Act 2008 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
