This order is made under section 32(1)(c) of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Ombudsmen (Border Executive Board) Order 2025.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 January 2026.
3 Principal Act
This order amends the Ombudsmen Act 1975.
4 Schedule 1 amended
In Schedule 1, Part 1B, repeal the item relating to the Border Executive Board.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 January 2026, amends the Ombudsmen Act 1975 by removing the Border Executive Board (the Board) from the list of interdepartmental executive boards set out in Part 1B of Schedule 1 of that Act. The Board is disestablished as an interdepartmental executive board but continues as a Cabinet-mandated board.
