1 Title

This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1—Ministry for Primary Industries) Order 2012.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 30 April 2012.

3 Part 1 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended

(1) In the Ombudsmen Act 1975, Schedule 1, Part 1, delete the item relating to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

(2) In the Ombudsmen Act 1975, Schedule 1, Part 1, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order “Ministry for Primary Industries”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 30 April 2012, removes the name of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry from Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and inserts the name of the Ministry for Primary Industries, which is the new name for the existing Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The effect of the order is that, on and after 30 April 2012, both the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and the Official Information Act 1982 will apply to the Ministry for Primary Industries.
