Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order
1 Title
This order is the Ombudsmen (First Schedule) Order 2002.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 January 2003.
3 Part 1 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended
Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by omitting the items relating to the following organisations:
The Export Guarantee Office
The Export Guarantee General Manager
The Ministry of Recreation and Sport
The Prime Minister's Department.
4 Part 2 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended

(1) Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by omitting the items relating to the following organisations:
At Work Insurance Limited
The Decimal Currency Board
The Health Service Personnel Commission
Management Council and Special Councils under the National Art Gallery, Museum, and War Memorial Act 1972
The Maori Education Foundation
The New Zealand Trades Certification Board
The Parent Advocacy Council
Regional Employment and Access Councils
The Rehabilitation Board
The Residual Health Management Unit
The Road Traffic Safety Research Council
The Social Welfare Commission
Tertiary Research Board
Works and Development Services Corporation (NZ) Limited.
(2) Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by omitting the item relating to the National Provident Fund Board.
(3) Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by inserting, in its appropriate alphabetical order, the following item:
“Board of Trustees of the National Provident Fund”.
(4) Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by inserting, after the item relating to The New Zealand Trades Certification Board, the following item:
“New Zealand Venture Investment Fund”.
(5) Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by omitting the item relating to Valuation New Zealand.
(6) Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by inserting, in its appropriate alphabetical order, the following item:
“Quotable Value New Zealand Limited”.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 January 2003, amends Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975. References to departments and organisations that no longer exist are omitted. Amendments are also made to reflect changes of name for certain organisations.
In addition, New Zealand Venture Investment Limited, which is a new Crown company, is added to Part 2 of Schedule 1.
