An Act to amend the Land Act 1948

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Land Amendment Act 1979, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Land Act 1948 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Classification of Crown land

This section substituted section 51(1)(d) of the principal Act.

Sections 3 and 4 were repealed, as from 23 June 1998, by section 104 Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 (1998 No 65).

4 Saving

Sections 3 and 4 were repealed, as from 23 June 1998, by section 104 Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 (1998 No 65).

5 Consequential amendments

(1) This subsection inserted definitions of pastoral land, pastoral lease, and pastoral occupation licence in section 2 of the principal Act.

(2) This subsection amended section 85(1) of the principal Act.

6 Repeal

Section 3 of the Land Amendment Act 1970 is hereby consequentially repealed.
