This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on 7 September 2004, is made under the Penal Institutions Act 1954. It updates the legal description of the Auckland Prison by excluding from the description 2 areas of land transferred to the Ministry of Education and 2 areas of land that no longer constitute part of Auckland Prison.
The notice also makes the cell block in the North Shore District Court part of that prison.
