2 Interpretation
  • In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,—

    The Act means the Health Act 1956

    Director-General means the Director-General of Health appointed under the Act

    Microbiological examination means a microbiological examination performed in a laboratory controlled by an officer of the Ministry of Health or approved by the Director-General

    Microbiological examination: this definition was amended, as from 1 July 1993, by section 38(3)(a) Health Amendment Act 1993 (1993 No 24), by substituting the words Ministry of Health for the words Department of Health.

    Minister means the Minister of Health.
