  • Preamble

    (1) The Eden Park Trust Board was constituted and incorporated under the Eden Park Trust Act 1955 for the primary purpose of holding the land commonly known as Eden Park on trust:

    (2) Due to the redevelopment of Eden Park for the Rugby World Cup 2011, it is necessary to—

    • (a) vary the terms upon which the Eden Park Trust Board holds property on trust:

    • (b) set out the new terms upon which the Eden Park Trust Board holds property on trust:

    • (c) make certain provisions for former trustees of the Eden Park Trust Board:

    (3) The Eden Park Trust Board also wishes to adjust the penalty set out in section 19 of the principal Act for a breach of a bylaw to take account of inflation:

    (4) The objects of this Act cannot be achieved without legislation:
