34 Appointment of health and safety medical practitioners

(1)

WorkSafe may appoint any medical practitioner to be a health and safety medical practitioner.

(2)

A health and safety medical practitioner shall exercise the powers of a health and safety medical practitioner subject to the directions and conditions (if any) for the time being imposed by WorkSafe.

(3)

Every health and safety medical practitioner shall have a certificate of appointment, in a form approved by WorkSafe.

(4)

A health and safety medical practitioner ceases to be a health and safety medical practitioner on ceasing to be a medical practitioner.
