  Subsection (1)(b) was repealed, as from 1 August 1986, by section 23(1) Fisheries Amendment Act 1986 (1986 No 34).

  Subsection (1)(g) was amended, as from 1 April 1990, by section 42(1) Fisheries Amendment Act 1990 (1990 No 29) by omitting the words “or total allowable catch” in 2 places. See section 2 Fish Royalties Act 1985 (1985 No 140) for royalties payable by quota holders and other commercial fishermen.

  Subsection (1)(h) was substituted, as from 1 August 1986, by section 23(2) Fisheries Amendment Act 1986 (1986 No 34).

  Subsection (1)(h) was amended, as from 1 November 1999, by section 8(1) Animal Products (Ancilliary and Transitional Provisions) Act 1999 (1999 No 94) by inserting the words , “or of risk management programmes registered under Part 2 of the Animal Products Act 1999 or relevant elements of regulated control schemes imposed under Part 3 of that Act,”.

  Subsection (1)(i) was substituted, and paragraph (ia) was inserted, as from 1 August 1986, by section 23(2) Fisheries Amendment Act 1986 (1986 No 34).

  Subsection (1)(ia) was amended, as from 1 April 1990, by section 42(2)(a) and (b) Fisheries Amendment Act 1990 (1990 No 29) by inserting the words “or transferable term quota” and the words “or transferable term quotas”, respectively.

  Subsection (1)(ib) was inserted, as from 1 October 1992, by section 16(1) Fisheries Amendment Act (No 2) 1992 (1992 No 90).

  Subsection (1)(ic) was inserted, as from 7 July 1993, by section 7 Fisheries Amendment Act 1993 (1993 No 67).

  Subsection (1)(k) was amended, as from 1 August 1986, by section 23(3) Fisheries Amendment Act 1986 by inserting the words “details relating to registration of fishing vessels and related matters,”.

  Subsection (1)(ka) to (kc) were inserted, as from 1 April 1990, by section 42(3) Fisheries Amendment Act 1990 (1990 No 29).

  Subsection (1)(kb) was amended, as from 1 October 1992, by section 16(2) Fisheries Amendment Act (No 2) 1992 (1992 No 90) by omitting the words “of Part 2A”.

  Subsection (1)(kc)(i) was amended, as from 23 December 1991, by section 25 Fisheries Amendment Act 1991 (1991 No 149) by inserting the words “or from time to time during any fishing year”.

  Subsection (1)(kc)(iii) was amended, as from 1 October 1992, by section 16(3) and (4) Fisheries Amendment Act (No 2) 1992 (1992 No 90) by inserting the expression “or section 28ZN or section 28ZP” and inserting the words “; and authorising the Director-General ... quota of such amendments”.

  Subsection (1)(kc)(iii) was amended, as from 1 July 1995, by section 5 Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (Restructuring) Act 1995 (1995 No 31) by omitting the words “or section 28ZN”.

  Subsection (1)(kd) was inserted, as from 9 September 1999, by section 8 Fisheries Act 1983 Amendment Act 1999 (1999 No 102).

  Subsection (1)(l) was amended, as from 1 August 1986, section 23(4)(a) and (b) Fisheries Amendment Act 1986 (1986 No 34) by substituting the expression “$10,000” for the expression “$5,000” and substituting the expression “$500” for the expression “$50”.

  Subsection (1)(ma) was inserted, as from 1 April 1990, by section 42(4) Fisheries Amendment Act 1990 (1990 No 29).

  Subsection (1)(mb) was inserted, as from 23 December 1992, by section 34(1) Treaty of Waitangi (Fisheries Claims) Act 1992 (1992 No 121).

  Subsection (1A) was inserted, as from 1 August 1986, by section 23(5) Fisheries Amendment Act 1986 (1986 No 34).

  Subsection (1A) was amended, as from 1 April 1990, by section 42(5) Fisheries Amendment Act 1990 (1990 No 29) by inserting the words “or guaranteed minimum transferable term quota or transferable term quota”.

  Subsection (1B) was inserted, as from 1 October 1992, by section 16(5) Fisheries Amendment Act (No 2) 1992 (1992 No 90).

  Subsection (1C) was inserted, as from 23 December 1992, by section 34(2) Treaty of Waitangi (Fisheries Claims) Act 1992 (1992 No 121).

  Subsection (3)(b) was amended, as from 23 December 1992, by section 34(3) Treaty of Waitangi (Fisheries Claims) Act 1992 (1992 No 121) by inserting the word “non-commercial”.

  Subsections (3A) and (3B) were inserted, as from 23 December 1992, by section 34(4) Treaty of Waitangi (Fisheries Claims) Act 1992 (1992 No 121).

  Subsections (7) and (8) were inserted, as from 1 October 1992, by section 16(6) Fisheries Amendment Act (No 2) 1992 (1992 No 90).

  Sections 89 to 92A were repealed, as from 1 October 2001, by section 314(1)(za) Fisheries Act 1996 (1996 No 88). See clause 2(4) Fisheries Act Commencement Order (No 2) 2001 (SR 2001/179).
