• Preamble

  WHEREAS it is the intention of the Akaroa County Council to erect drainage-works by which the annually-recurring loss and injury caused by the flood-waters of Lake Forsyth may be prevented: And whereas by such works a considerable area of land now covered by water will be reclaimed:

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
