An Act to vest Section Sixteen, Block Two, in the Town of Lawrence, in the Lawrence Athenaeum and Mining Institute, for the purposes of the said Institute.
WHEREAS the parcel of land described in the Schedule to this Act has been set aside as a site for an Athenaeum in Lawrence: And whereas the Lawrence Athenaeum and Mining Institute is incorporated by the Ordinance of the Provincial Council of Otago, known as The Lawrence Athenaeum and Mining Institute Ordinance 1872:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
